Hello, L.A. Uke Player!

Jumpin’ Flea Circus Players of Los Angeles

The Jumpin’ Flea Circus Players of Los Angeles is a ukulele group that gets together for ukulele strumming-fun. We’ve now been together almost three years!

All level players welcome — we especially like beginners. All musical styles represented: Tin Pan Alley, Hawaiian, Rock, Folk, C&W

We meet alternating Thursdays: 7:30-9:30 p.m. (email for our next meeting) at the Congregational Church of the Chimes, located at 14115 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

We meet in Drier Hall, which is located opposite the pool.

During our practices Clay Allen, noted uke instructor, teaches the class new strumming patterns, chord positions, scales and music reading. We conclude each evening with open mic time: each player can strut their stuff. We also share songs and have a good time.

Cost for attending is $10 for the lesson (a real bargain) and a few bucks to cover the cost of renting the Church conference room.

There’s plenty of parking and the Church campus is a great place to meet — quiet and pretty.
